Let’s start by going over each of the specs, pros, and cons of the AirPods.

The AirPods Pro uses Adaptive EQ technology to automatically adjust the sound to fit your ears. AirPods 3rd Gen Vs. AirPods Pro

AirPods 3rd Gen Vs. AirPods Pro

Here are 10 of the differences through which you can identify which AirPods are which:

  1. Design: The 3rd Gen AirPods have a more traditional design, with no over-ear hook or other attachments. By contrast, the AirPods Pro have an over-ear hook that allows them to fit securely in your ear and provide better sound isolation.
  2. Battery Life: The 3rd Gen AirPods offer up to 5-6 hours of listening time, while the AirPods Pro can offer up to 4 hours of listening time on a single charge.
  3. Active Noise Cancellation: It’s one of the visible differences between the two models because only the AirPods Pro offers active noise cancellation for improved sound quality and greater audio accuracy when playing back music or other audio.
  4. Transparency Mode: The AirPods Pro also offers Transparency mode, which allows you to hear your surroundings while still enjoying your music. This feature is not available on the 3rd Gen AirPods.
  5. Water and Sweat Resistance: Both models are IPX4 water and sweat-resistant, but the AirPods Pro has been designed to withstand more intense workouts than the 3rd Gen model can handle.
  6. Bluetooth Connectivity: The 3rd Gen AirPods use the 5th generation of Apple’s wireless technology for improved range and performance, while the AirPods Pro uses a newer 6th generation that offers even better sound quality and reliability when it comes to streaming audio.
  7. Ear Tips: The AirPods Pro comes with 3 sets of ear tips that allow you to customize the fit and seal for improved sound isolation and comfort, while the 3rd Gen model has no such feature.
  8. Price: The 3rd Gen AirPods are significantly cheaper than the AirPods Pro – around half the price in many cases. This is due to their more basic design and lack of advanced features compared to the AirPods Pro.
  9. Siri: Both models can use Apple’s voice assistant, Siri, but only the AirPods Pro have built-in microphones that improve speech recognition accuracy when using it.
  10. Connectivity: The 3rd Gen AirPods can be connected to any device that supports Bluetooth, while the AirPods Pro can only be used with Apple devices due to their proprietary connector. These two models also feature different charging connectors – the 3rd Gen AirPods use a lightning port for charging, while the AirPods Pro uses a USB-C port for faster, more efficient charging.

Overall, there are several major differences between the 3rd-Gen AirPods and the AirPods Pro. From design to performance features like ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and Transparency mode, these two models offer very different experiences.

However, they both share the same waterproof and sweatproof rating, making them great for active use. Even though the AirPods Pro is more expensive than the 3rd Gen model, their advanced features make them well worth the extra cost.

Conclusion

No matter which of these two models you choose, you can be sure that it will provide a great listening experience. With its superior sound quality, longer battery life, and convenient charging options, either model will keep your music playing all day long.
