Apple iPhone 13 Review, Pros and Cons – Wise Market NZ

For over a year, the iPhone 13 has made quite the reputation for itself as one of the best phones on the market. It’s the pride and joy of the Apple company. However, people can’t decide if they want to jump to this high-end device or not.

That’s why I’m going to give you an Apple iPhone 13 review and also explain all the pros and cons of it.

In this article, I’ll be covering the following:

  • iPhone 13 review
  • Pros and cons of iPhone 13
  • Is it worth it

Let’s start with a review of the iPhone 13.

iPhone 13 Review

The iPhone 13 is the predecessor of the iPhone 14. Just 14 was the flagship model of Apple, and so was the iPhone 13 last year. It sports a powerful A15 Bionic chip with 5G support and a 6.1-inch OLED display with a high resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels.

It also has an upgraded dual-lens camera system for improved image quality. Expanded storage options up to 512 GB and improved water resistance capabilities. Not to mention the new software features such as improved Face ID unlocking and enhanced privacy protections.

Design & Display:

The design of the iPhone 13 is sleek and modern. It has flat sides and slightly curved edges that feel comfortable in your hand. Furthermore, it supports 5G networks for faster data speeds in compatible regions. The display is bright and vibrant thanks to its OLED technology and True Tone feature. The resolution of 2532×1170 pixels gives you plenty of screen real estate to work with, making it ideal for tasks such as watching videos or playing games.

Chipset:

The A15 Bionic chipset is one of the major improvements in the iPhone 13. It’s a 6-core processor that is faster than the previous A15 chipset. Additionally, it offers improved performance for gaming, augmented reality (AR) experiences, video editing, etc.

Camera:

The iPhone 13’s camera system has been upgraded with a dual-lens setup on both the rear and front cameras. On the back, there are two 12MP sensors (one for wide-angle shots and one for telephoto shots), as well as a new LiDAR scanner which helps improve low-light photography. On the front, there is an upgraded 7 MP selfie camera with improved Face ID unlocking capabilities.

Storage:

Storage options on the iPhone 13 range from 64GB to 512GB; this should be enough for most people. Especially considering that Apple’s iCloud service allows you to store your photos, videos, and other files in the cloud. The device also has water resistance capabilities up to 4 meters, so it can survive a dip in the pool or a splash of rain without any issues.

iOS:

Finally, the iPhone 13 also comes preloaded with iOS 15. Although with the release of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, so has iOS 16 been released as well. All of the benefits and features of iOS 16 can also be reaped on iPhone 13 due to the fact that it’s still good for the next 5 years of updates.

Overall, the iPhone 13 is an impressive device with powerful specs and plenty of great features – from the A15 Bionic chipset to the upgraded camera system and water resistance capabilities. It’s definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a high-end smartphone.

  • OLED Display: The latest version of Apple’s OLED display technology is found on the iPhone 13, with an ultra-wide viewing angle and brighter colors for more vivid images.
  • 5G Network Support: With 5G networks now available in many cities around the world, you can get faster download speeds than ever before when using your iPhone 13.

  • Improved Face ID: Apple has improved its facial recognition technology with the iPhone 13, making it faster and more secure than ever before.
  • MagSafe Connector: The new MagSafe connector included with the iPhone 13 makes charging your device easier while also providing a secure connection that won’t be easily disconnected by accidental bumps and knocks.
  • Longer Battery Life: The A15 Bionic processor helps ensure you get up to 17 hours of battery life with the iPhone 13, perfect for those long days out of the house or at work.
  • Spatial Audio: New features like Spatial Audio provide immersive sound from all directions allowing you to experience movies in a completely different way.

  • iOS 15: As with any new Apple device, you get access to the latest version of iOS, which includes new features like App Clips, Widgets, and redesigned home screens for easier customization.

Cons:

  • Expensive than expected: Relatively expensive compared to some other devices. However, this is typical of Apple products.
  • No headphone jack: Apple has continued the tradition of removing the headphone jacks from their flagship phones.
  • No official support for 5G networks in all regions: 5G compatibility is limited depending on where you live.
  • No innovation in the design: The design of the phone is quite similar to previous models, so there isn’t much innovation in this area.
  • No charging adapter included in the box: The phone only comes with a charging cable, some ejector tools, and documentation.

Is It Worth It

worth it

The decision to buy the iPhone 13 ultimately depends on your individual needs and preferences. On the one hand, the iPhone 13 offers a range of features that may be appealing to many consumers. It has so many advanced and useful features that it’s difficult to keep track of them.

As such, if you are looking for a device that is powerful enough to handle any task while also offering top-of-the-line features, then the iPhone 13 may be worth considering. On the other hand, some people may find that the iPhone 13 is simply too expensive for their budget or that they don’t need all of the features that come with it.

For these individuals, there is the option to buy the iPhone 13 as a used model to get the same benefits but at a lower price point. Additionally, if you already own an earlier-generation iPhone and are happy with its performance, then upgrading to the latest model may not be worth it.

In conclusion, whether or not the iPhone 13 is worth buying will depend on your particular needs and preferences. If you want a powerful device with cutting-edge features, then the iPhone 13 might be a worthwhile investment.

However, if you are more concerned about saving money or don’t think you need all the bells and whistles, then there are plenty of other options that can offer comparable performance at a lower cost.

Conclusion

Hopefully, now you under what the iPhone 13 is capable of and what are their pros and cons. If you love high-tech yet intuitive devices and don’t mind forking up some cash, then I’ll highly recommend this device.
